This daily grind...

Ugh, this daily grind is really getting old. Some days I deal with our situation better than others. Today, I am not dealing with it so well. Right now, Josh is in paramedic school. He is really busy, and gone a lot. He works his 24 hour shift at the fire station, comes home to pick up his lunch and then goes straight to school that next morning until about 4 in the afternoon. I miss him terribly. I feel like I barely ever get to see him. A lot of the time, when he is home, he has to be studying or taking a test (which usually take hours to complete). I just want our life back. I know that in the end, this will all be worth it, but it is hard sometimes. With him gone so much, obviously, a lot of things fall onto me and it is wearing me out. I am really trying to trust God's promise in 1 Corinthians when he says, " If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure." This verse has really given me a lot of strength and hope lately. I know that God knows our situation and would not have allowed it if it was going to be too much. Even though sometimes I am tempted in a lot of ways to just give up and say that I can't do this and have a pity party, I know that God is faithful and will help me through this. I don't know what I would do in this situation if I did not have a faithful God. Even though it is tough a lot of the time, I am trying to stand strong and be the woman I need to be right now. "The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving." Psalm 28:7. I am resting in this as well. Thank you Lord for being my strength.

The girls new room

Here are the pictures of the girls new shared room! They love it! It is (mostly) done!

The frames above the kitchen say, "I found my prince...his name is daddy!" I made them, you may remember them being in Riley's old room!

Daddy had the idea to do their closet in pink! He even went to Home Depot and picked the pink out himself! He has a little designer in himself too!

We still don't have a bed for Aydia quite yet, but I have a vision for it and want to wait until I find exactly what I want! For now, this works just fine!

Close up of their bedding!

Their letters that I painted them!

Overall, the girls are doing GREAT at sharing a room! About once a week, they have a rough time falling asleep together and get in trouble for getting out of their beds to play, but other than that, they do a great job! Riley especially. Since Riley was a baby, she has always had sleep issues, rarely ever slept through the night (even as a 3 yr old!) and since they share a room, I think she has gotten up maybe twice, and it was just to go to the bathroom and then went straight back to bed! Who knew, all she wanted was some company!
Aydia cracks me up, she calls everything we own Riley's, so even though that room was originally Aydia's, she now calls it Riley's room. We try over and over to tell her that it is both of their room, but she still calls it Riley's room...maybe Riley told her it was hers, I don't know...she's funny!

Random baby stuff!

This is just a randomness of baby stuff! Right now as I sit here typing, Zeke is totally kicking my bladder over and over, it is really crazy feeling. This little guy is a mover, he moves all the time. I am starting to feel it in the middle of the night, not quite yet strong enough to KEEP me awake, but it does wake me sometimes. We had a 4D sono the other day and he would NOT stop moving around. We volunteered to let someone do training for the sonogram on us and I am sure it was quite difficult since he would not be still! She had a hard time getting the certain measurements that she was supposed to be getting...crazy boy!

We bought this cute little hat off of Etsy! I can't wait for him to wear it!

My sister sent this outfit! Is it not the cutest little thing ever!

This is the design that Josh made for the rocking horse he wants to make for Ezekiel! It will be made out of steel pipe!

These pictures are from our 4D sonogram that we had the other day! You can see his sweet little face!

Wishful Wednesday

This Wed, instead of a Wordless Wednesday, I am deciding to participate in Wishful Wednesday! I wish I was going on a vacation to...Ireland. I don't really know why, but I have always wanted to go to Ireland. The funny thing is, when I met Josh, he had always wanted to go to Ireland too! He says someday we will go! I can't wait! Look how beautiful it looks!

We would go to Pubs! I have this idea that it would be so fun to go to an Irish Pub, I can picture their awesome accents as we chat it up with the locals!

We could try and find a 4 leaf clover!

I totally wish I was going to Ireland tomorrow (kid free...of course!).

22 weeks and baby blanket!

My 22 week picture! (I know I take a lot of pregnant pictures, but I didn't take a single one when I was pregnant with Aydia and now am sad about it, so I am just trying to document it as often as I think about it!)

When my mom was here, we worked on Zeke's blanket together! It is made from vintage sheets/pillowcases with a backing of corduroy! I LOVE it! My mom did most of the sewing, didn't she do a great job?!

Will my name still be Riley?

This morning, I was laying in bed with Josh and Riley was in there laying with us and talking. She was feeling my belly and saying that Zeke was kissing her hand and licking her hand (so weird!) and then she asked me a question. She asked, "Mommy, when we have the baby, and I am even bigger, will my name still be Riley?"

It is so cute to hear how she is processing how things are going to change and wondering if she will still be the same! I love her and her curious mind!

Daddy soccer time!r

One Saturday morning, daddy took the girls out to give mom a break! He took them to Dick's to buy soccer balls, then off to the soccer field! They had a blast! He said they were actually pretty good...for a 2 yr old and a 3 yr old! He made them put their hands behind their backs so that they would not be tempted to touch the ball (he is so hardcore!). I would LOVE it if my girls played soccer, it is one of my fav's and I played in high school!

The Texas State Fair!

My mom came in for a visit, and since the Texas State Fair was going on, we decided to take her! It was really fun! We ate a lot of food and walked around a lot! The girls got to miss their nap that day so we could just have fun! They were troopers!

Here are my mom and I standing in front of a sign!

As soon as we walked in, Riley spotted this lady dancing! She loved watching her. She went all the way up to the front and just stood there in awe! It was cute!

My honey's!

Feeding the animals!

You definitely can't go to the Texas State Fair and not have a corn dog! They are the best!

Tornado Taters...Mmmmm!

They had a cute little farming area for kids where they got to be farmers!

The girls got to ride a couple of rides, because they were tall enough this year. It was a little bit sad to me. I told my mom as we watched them ride, that it felt really weird just standing outside the gate watching them ride rides all by themselves. I had glimpses of them being teenagers and wanting to go do everything alone. They sure did enjoy it though!

We topped the Fair experience off with some cotton candy for the ride home!
