Going to see Santa...

Well, on Saturday, we went with some friends to a breakfast with Santa. It was a lot of fun. Riley got to decorate a cookie, make a neclace (which she actually beaded herself), make an ornament, and take a picture with Santa. That was probably one of the funniest experiences of my life. The girls HATED Santa! Well, actually, Riley likes him as long as he is not too close! We were waiting in line and trying to tell Riley that she was going to take a picture with Santa and explain it to her, and she said she did not want to sit on his lap because he was "Scary!" So, it is our turn and I am walking up holding both of the girls and Riley is trying to get as far away as possible from him but still stay attached to me. Aydia seemed fine, she was just looking at him, so he took Aydia and she immediatley started screaming and that made Riley scared. So, I said I will sit with you and that was ok with Riley. I just told the ladies to just take the pic because there was no way we were getting them to be happy! Here it is!

On Friday night, we decorated the tree here at the Brock's house! Riley had so much fun! She was such a good helper! Here is a picture of her putting her first ornament on!

Well, I am sure the next post will be after Christmas, so enjoy your Christmas everyone! We will be in CO!!!

Thanksgiving and more!

We had such a fun Thanksgiving holiday! We got to go to NM with the Brock's (minus Amanda who we wished was there so badly) to visit Andrew and Lenzie. We stayed in a cabin at Glorietta and it was just such a nice break from reality! It snowed on Thursday night, so we got to wake up to snow on Friday morning! Riley thought it was raining! Emily, Lenzie and I went sledding for 3 hours and it was awesome! It had been years since I had been! I took Riley down and the first time, she loved it and said it was fun, but the second time, she did not like it for some reason and was done! Here are a few pics from our trip...I am sure there are more to come!

Since we have been back from our trip, we have had many doctor's appointments. Aydia had her shots and well baby check-up yesterday. She weighs 21 lbs...3 lbs less than Riley...she is so big! She hates getting shots and screamed through the whole thing and then fell asleep because she was so exhausted from screaming. Riley has been sick for about 3 weeks now. I took her to the doc weeks ago and she had pink eye in both eyes, a left ear infection, and a sinus infection. She got some medicine and finished it on our trip and was seeming to do better. The day after she finished it, she started everything over. I knew if I did not go ahead and just take her to the doctor again fast, it would just get really bad, so I took her on Tuesday and she now has an ear infection in both ears and still has a sinus infection. Ugh, I just feel like the sicknesses are never ending since September. Josh also had a physical done so that he could get clearance to take the firefighter physical exam on the 14th of Dec. He is good to go, now it is just working out to prepare for the test!
Well, I will try to update a little more often, but it will be a busy month this Dec! We have a lot going on in the next 3 weeks and then are going to spend Christmas with my fam in CO!

Busy, busy!

Sorry it has been a while. We have been so busy. Every year, it just seems like October just flys by! We had a good Halloween. We went over to some friends of ours and handed out snacks and candy while the kiddos played! We did not take the girls trick-or-treating...they just would not get it yet...maybe next year! We did dress them up though, here are a few pics!

Just like October was busy, this week is sure going to be busy. Riley is sick. I took her to the doc yesterday and she has pink eye in both eyes, a left ear infection, and a sinus infection. Poor girl. Aydia is having some tests done at the hospital tomorrow on her kidneys and bladder. That will be a long day for her. Nonnie is watching Riley for us, so she won't have to be there while we are just waiting. We are thankful for Nonnie offering to watch her! So, if you think about Aydia tomorrow, say a little prayer. There is a small chance that she may have to have surgery if things do not look right.
This week has also been busy because Josh has been busy at work. He went to Longview on Monday and they called him while he was there and said he had to spend the night. Yuck. So, he was gone all day Monday and Tuesday and was supposed to have today and tomorrow off, but of course, they called him in about an hour ago to go to Fort Worth. I am so ready for him to have a job that allows him to have a family! The last 2 years, every job he has ends up taking up all of his awake time...no fun! Needless to say, we are so excited to go to New Mexico for Thanksgiving and get away from reality for a while!

The dreaded day has come...

So, I figured out how to upload pics...turns out it is pretty easy! Here are a couple for you guys!
Here is little Aydia!
Here is Riley!
Here is our family in August!

So, one of the days I have been dreading has come. Riley has learned how to open doors. This morning, she woke up, opened her door, walked to the room where Andrew and Lenzie were sleeping...which is usually where Josh and I sleep, so that is probably why she went there...opened their door and walked in to wake them up. Time to get childproof door covers!

I feel I have another dreaded day coming soon as well...Aydia crawling. On Saturday night, she got up on her hands and knees for a couple of seconds. We are predicting she will be crawling within a month. She wants to get around so bad. It will be interresting to have two wireless kids...as Josh says!

This weekend Andrew and Lenzie came into town. It was so good to hang out with them! We thought we were going to be able to hang out with them a ton when we lived in CO Springs and them in NM, because it is only a few hours aways, but then God had other plans for us and brought us back to Texas, so it was fun to see them! We are going there for Thanksgiving, which will be lots of fun as well!

Long time...

Ok, so it has been a long time since we have updated this thing! I am going to try to keep it updated for everyone...if anyone will read it!
Riley is 18 months old now. She is talking a ton and learning new stuff everyday! She is starting to say sentences and it is so cute. She is a little ball of energy!
Aydia is 6 1/2 months old now. The big things she is doing in life right now are trying to sit up on her own, lots of tummy time so she can learn how to crawl...she wants to, but she gets really frustrated, she just started drinking out of a transition cup...she caught on the FIRST time we tried it! That is how much the girl loves to eat, she does not care about what it comes in, she just wants it! She will laugh to get your attention. She loves to watch Riley and cracks up at her! It is so cute how much they love eachother!
Josh and I are doing good. We are trying to rediscover what it is like to be married! After pregnancies and babies for 2 years, we sort of forgot what it was like to be married and are trying to get back to having time together without the babes! We love them, but need some time to ourselves! Since we are housesitting, Nonnie and Pop are going to watch the girls overnight on Fri, so that will be fun for us to wake up on Sat without children screaming to get us up! I have to work Fri night until midnight, so we wont get much time then, but maybe a little on Sat! That will be fun!
Anyways, that is us right now! I will post some pics soon...when I figure out how to post pics! If anyone knows, let me know.
