Leg warmers made by moi!
Now that the weather is getting cooler (some days!) I have been making a lot of leg warmers! Most of the ones I have made are for gifts for friend's babies (and my baby!) but I also made some for the girls! They are one of the easiest things to make and it is sooo much cheaper when you make them yourself. I bought this 3 pack of socks for $6.99 at Target and usually it is hard to find even just ONE pair for $7, so it is quite a deal!

Pretty Pretty Princess
Pretty Pretty Princess was a game that I LOVED when I was a little girl! I remember me and my sister's playing it all together! We have the Cinderella version for my girls...how cool is that, a Cinderella version! They LOVE playing with it! Well, they don't actually "play" the game, they just put the pieces on! What would you expect from a 3 yr and 2 yr old though! They crack me up all the time how different they are. The way they play with this game is an example of the difference between them.
Aydia especially is loving Pretty Pretty Princess right now. She loves to get as many pieces on as she can.
Riley likes to wear just a few pieces, like how an adult would! She will get one pair of earrings, a ring, a necklace, and a bracelet and she is done. She also likes to do this with the little tiny shoes. (They kind of creep me out. I have this thing where if things are supposed to be a certain size, but are made into something REALLY tiny, it is creepy to me...weird, I know.)

20 weeks
We have hit the half way point! I can't believe it! It is flying by! If the second half goes by as quickly as the first half, we will practically be having a baby next month! I really feel like we just found out last month that we were having another baby! During this last week, my belly really popped out quite a bit. I had only gained 4 lbs at my 19 week check-up, but I am sure I gained more this week just by the looks of my belly! Which is fine...my midwife told me I needed to be gaining a little more, so I am sure she will be happy with me! It is so funny, because this is how it was with all 3 of my pregnancies. I looked pretty small until one day, I wake up and had popped out! I am still feeling great! I am so incredibly thankful that I feel so good. It is truly a blessing! I can feel Z moving all. the. time! He is pretty strong too so far, he has to be though, to help his daddy take care of us girls! I have been having so much fun looking around for boy stuff! It just seems so surreal! I can't wait!

Scarf Swap
I participated in a scarf swap that Meredith held! I haven't always been one to wear scarves, but let me tell you, that has changed! Thanks to Kerbi, I now am a huge fan! I freaking love the scarf she got me! It is as if we have known each other for years (we actually don't know each other at all!). If I was looking for a scarf, I would most definitely pick this one out! I LOVE it!
I hope that she likes the one I sent her just as much as I like mine! She told me she loves color and she really loves wearing scarves in the winter with her white winter coat! Here is what I picked out for her!

Crazy crunchy pear
Ahhh, today, as soon as Josh and I woke up, we cleaned the house. Our biggest project was the playroom. My girls don't have a tendency to just dump toys out all over the floor, just to do it, but we have a bunch of friends that do! It is totally fine, that is what kids do. However, this last time, this playroom was out. of. control. ALL of the toys were just dumped on the floor and I left it that way for about a month...it. was. bad. I could barely even stand to look at it, so Josh was nice enough to help me sort through everything (we even got rid of some stuff) and put it all away!
Look how clean it is! Maybe now my girls will actually play in here! They are like me and when things are too messy, they just leave it alone!
Got to love a clean house! Speaking of things you have to love, I made these chocolate chip cookies from scratch the other night! Oh my, they were good!
Sometimes it seems so unreal to me that I am actually going to have a baby boy. I was looking through my registry today and had the thought of, "Oh my goodness, this is real. I am going to have a little boy."
This week, I am going to paint the girls room. We are moving the girls into a room together and I bought them new matching bedding and we are going to make the room over so that it is theirs together and not just like one person is loosing their room for the baby! I am seriously excited!
We will probably do the baby's room next week or something. We are doing an owl retro theme! It is going to be adorable! I am going to make the bedding and a mobile!
My mom is coming in town a week from tomorrow! I can't wait! The girls are pretty excited too! We are going to take her to the Texas State Fair! An experience that everyone should have, it is fun!
I am eating this pear right now that is sort of crazy. It is a different type of pear than what we are used to...it is crunchy like an apple...and it is supposed to be that way! It was picked right off of a pear tree this weekend by some friends of ours...I am not sure what I think about it.
(Yes, I did just take a picture of my pear!)
I am 20 weeks pregnant today! CRAZY!!! I have my 20 wk photo to put up, but I am wearing my awesome scarf from my swap partner in it, so I don't want to spoil the surprise...you will just have to wait until Saturday to see the photo!
